After 10 years, Changing Ways is coming to an end
Updated: Sep 14
As of October 1, 2023, we will be discontinuing Changing Ways. We reflect on a fun and educational period, but, most importantly, we are looking ahead to new opportunities, challenges, and ideas.
Why is Changing Ways stopping?
Changing Ways is primarily about making an impact. Our goal is to create a better, healthier, and more sustainable world. Over the past years, we have worked hard to achieve this goal.
However, we still haven't made the impact we want and can make. This is mainly because we find it challenging to grow, both as an organization and in the current market. Therefore, we believe that continuing with Changing Ways is not the way to improve the world, and we prefer to do it differently.
Mats:
"Ten years ago, I started Changing Ways, then known as Pennock & Postema. I am incredibly proud of everything we have achieved since then. On the one hand, it naturally feels a bit sad that Changing Ways is ending. It was a part of my identity for 10 years. On the other hand, it feels like a very responsible and logical next step. A step that is necessary to make a greater impact.
In recent years, I noticed that my character and abilities are better suited to a larger organization. Therefore, I will be joining the Behavior Change Group (BCG) with enthusiasm from October 1. As a client, you don't have to worry about losing quality with the discontinuation of Changing Ways. At BCG, I will be able to assist you just as well, probably even better, with your behavior-related questions."
Julie:
"Of course, I am very sad that we are closing, and it feels strange because we have built so much together. I will miss Changing Ways. But on the other hand, I am ready for something different. For example, I have always wanted to work in the event or leisure industry, or something else that involves direct contact with people. I also want to help people in difficult situations, such as refugees, minority groups, or people with barriers to employment. I am looking forward to exploring all the possibilities.
In any case, I want to spend less time behind my laptop and get more involved in my immediate environment. That is currently my way of making a more positive impact. Additionally, I will continue to use my knowledge of communication and behavior, my analytical and problem-solving skills, my entrepreneurial spirit, and my enthusiasm to explore new ways of making a positive impact. Perhaps with a new venture in the future."
What is changing?
Over the next few weeks, we will be wrapping up and closing ongoing matters. Starting from December 1, we will no longer be reachable through our website, social media, or email.
