Increasing satisfaction and safety in 's-Hertogenbosch
Updated: Apr 14
In the city of 's-Hertogenbosch, we work on increasing satisfaction and safety. Our goal is to create a safe environment, in which everybody feels good and respects one another. Together with the municipality, we do this by:
Increasing satisfaction in and with the municipality
We investigate which 'buttons' determine how satisfied inhabitants and visitors are in and with the city, and summarize this in a Behavioural Map.
Based on this, we give advice on how to increase satisfaction and experience in and of public spaces. These advices are specified for different situations, domains and functions within the municipality.

Reducing alcohol-related nightlife violence
Based on our insights on buttons that are important for alcohol-related nightlife violence, we develop some guidelines for interventions to reduce this type of violence. These substantiated interventions push buttons like awareness and consciousness, commitment and social roles.
Reducing dissatisfaction about the policy on dogs and dog feces
We investigate which buttons determine whether people are (dis)satisfied about the policy regarding dogs, and which buttons determine whether people cause nuisance with regard to dog poop. Based on this research, we develop effective interventions to prevent nuisance. These interventions push buttons such as clarity, ease, sense of appreciation and reciprocity.
Besides that, we give advice on how to adapt municipal policy with regard to dogs to increase satisfaction.
